UVC LEGAL is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Legal Adviser to join our growing immigration law team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UK immigration law and a genuine commitment to helping individuals and families navigate complex legal processes with clarity, care, and confidence.
As a Legal Adviser, you will provide expert advice, prepare and manage client files, draft legal documents, and represent clients where appropriate. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that clients receive timely, accurate, and ethical legal support.
Provide tailored legal advice on a range of UK immigration matters, including but not limited to:
Visa applications (student, work, family, business)
Asylum claims
Appeals and judicial reviews
Regularisation of status
Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and recommendations
Prepare and submit legal documents, applications, and representations to the Home Office or tribunal
Maintain up-to-date case files in compliance with OISC or SRA regulations
Liaise with clients, government agencies, and external stakeholders in a professional and compassionate manner
Attend client meetings, interviews, and hearings as needed
Keep up to date with changes in UK immigration law and policy
Collaborate with internal team members on case reviews and strategic planning

OISC Level 2 or 3 accreditation (or qualified solicitor with immigration experience)
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in UK immigration law
Strong understanding of Home Office procedures, immigration categories, and human rights law
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Empathetic, client-focused approach with high ethical standards
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in using legal case management systems and Microsoft Office suite
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience working with vulnerable clients or those seeking asylum
Knowledge of EUSS and post-Brexit immigration issues
Multilingual ability (a plus but not required)
